Having left his native Columbia, Alberto had high hopes for a life in London. With the weight of his mother’s illness pressing upon his conscience, he does the best he can to support his family back home. Money is hard to come by and the ongoing worry of being discovered by the police leaves him in a high state of anxiety and distress. Whilst trying to navigate his new life across the sea, Alberto is still struggling with the demons of his past. Religion offers him a consoling hand but, as an abundance of bad omens present themselves, an altogether darker depiction of what life has to offer becomes clear. Fast paced and chaotic shots take us through the multi-cultural streets of London, its refinery and dreaded back alleys. Upbeat music charges each scene as we move with the protagonist amongst the bustling markets, lines of commuters and bedraggled boroughs. An array of characters take us through the many plot twists and turns and emphasise the commotion of a life without stability.
