When you question what is beyond ‘post truth’, most would come to the conclusion that it is a bunch of lies. In this informative, short documentary, Héctor Carré interviews multiple journalists, editors and critics to find out more about the world of journalism, and how we are now living in a society where the public has such a poor relationship with the media.
What Post Truth Times does excellently as a documentary is present an argument that there is no right or wrong ‘side’ – as ever, the world doesn’t easily divide into black and white, even with something as simple as truth and lies. Is journalism still a respectable profession, or has it become a glorified marketing position? There are no definitive answers here, but certainly a lot of food for thought.
Well-made and brilliantly narrated, Post Truth Times is a fascinating philosophical insight to the world of the news.
