When an estranged Amil returns to his native home of Bosnia he is confronted with corruption and chaos. During a brief seven-day stop over, Amil finds himself in the midst of a nightmare as his father suffers a near fatal heart-attack. Since his departure, Amil’s father has been under constant threat and harassed daily for a protection racket, the effects of which leave him in hospital. Amil takes matters into his own hands and overnight he is embroiled in a battle with some of Sarajevo’s deadliest underground gangsters. Amil quickly abandons his photographer’s lens for the security of a gun. He continually faces the dilemma of staying and fighting this battle or retreating and returning to his life overseas. This story is heart-warming tale of a man who finds his way home and who finally appreciates the comforts of family, friendship and love. Admir Buljugić’s crime drama champions Bosnia and its spectacular landscape and talent. The film is carried by the actor Adnan Haskovic, who’s portrayal of Amil is superb. Street corruption and danger grip Amil but you will most definitely want to join him on this trail of blackmail and bargaining.
