Aubrey attends her close friend Grace's funeral and struggles to make sense of her emotions. She returns to Grace's apartment, only to find the next morning that the world is ending. Over the next few days, she's forced to confront the reality of her personal loss, but also the possibility that she might be the only person left on Earth. The only clue she has is a single cassette tape left to her by Grace.

The debut feature from writer/director/composer A. T. White, STARFISH blends drama, high-concept sci-fi and horror, without ever stepping firmly into any one camp. Aubrey's journey through the film is a complex exploration of grief, isolation and memory, and White's direction veers from contemplative to surreal without ever feeling jarring.

Virginia Gardner (PROJECT ALMANAC, Marvel’s RUNAWAYS) gives an engaging and enigmatic performance as Aubrey, and White's balance of script, cinematography and score is undeniably effective. After having screened at Fantastic Fest, STARFISH makes its UK premiere at Raindance. Andy Campbell Smith
