Nearly a sixth of the UK population self-report as having a disability, and yet disabled actors and narratives of everyday disabled living are still remarkably absent from the screen. A panel of phenomenal talent, activism, and insight into disability on film.

This event will include a BSL Interpreter.

    • Andy has cast a range of projects, including three series of Call the Midwife, The A Word, Undercover and Doctor Foster. He has also been Casting Director on Doctor Who since its return in 2005 and to date has cast over 130 episodes and six Doctors. He is an ambassador for Act For Change.
  • Jane Gull
    • Jane’s debut feature film MY FERAL HEART, 2017, became the UK’s most successful ‘cinema-on-demand’ film of all time, in partnership with OurScreen. She has written & directed several shorts including the multi award winning SUNNY BOY, acquired by CH4 and ARTE TV. Jane also works in theatre and has a passion for dance.
